No. The active ingredient is doxycycline, a semi-synthetic antibiotic from the tetracycline group. The dose of doxycycline contained in the preparation is more than 2 times lower than the dose used in antimicrobial therapy. The purpose of using doxycycline in a lower dose is to take advantage of its anti-inflammatory and not bacteriostatic effects and thus - indicated to reduce papular-pustular lesions in adult patients with rosacea.

Taking doxycycline should not lead directly to weight gain.
