Zamiennik leku to dokładnie ta sama substancja czynna w tej samej dawce, nie powodująca różnic terapeutycznych, a więc i zamiennik ma te same działania niepożądane. Są zamienniki - z resztą Aclexa jest sama zamiennikiem leku oryginalnego Celebrex, ale nie jedynym. Są natomiast inne leki, również z grupy NLPZ, troche bezpieczniejsze. Natomiast celekoksyb jest najbezpieczniejszy w swojej podgrupie koksybów należącej do NLPZ.
