In some patients, the effect of Esperal (disulfiram) may last several weeks longer than the expiry date of the drug indicates (even after the label has been removed). Since it is not possible to assess the degree of action of the preparation (it depends on the individual predisposition of the body), caution is recommended when using preparations containing alcohol.
