When can the earliest pregnancy test from the blood come out positive?

Good morning. Yesterday I did a pregnancy test - the first positive, the second negative. I also made a beta HCG out of blood yesterday. I received a score of 0.1 mIU/mL. Can such a result testify to pregnancy? I'm before menstruation, I have to have in 6 days.

Performing the determination of the level of the hormone beta-hCG from the blood is a test that allows the detection of early pregnancy. It is recommended to make the determination no earlier than at least 6 days after the date of the expected fertilization. It is assumed that for a pregnant woman in the first weeks of pregnancy, the result of the beta-hCG hormone determination should be over 5 mIU / ml. In a properly developing pregnancy, the level of beta-hCG doubles on average every 48 hours and increases until the 9-12th week of pregnancy. At a later stage of pregnancy, it drops to 10-20% of the maximum value. Yes, performing the test on the 16th day after intercourse gives a reliable result.

Will beta HCG on day 16 after intercourse be reliable? Will it be worth repeating it?

To @Daruaxx:

Pale lines do not clearly indicate a positive test result. Based on the results of the beta-hCG test obtained later, you can rule out pregnancy.

Daruaxx (Anonymous, 2a00:f41:584f:796a::) 5 months ago

Hello. Please answer. I did 3 home pregnancy tests that came out positive, each of them was done every day and they were pale lines. . On the fourth day I went to do a beta HCG result of 7.4 and 2 days later I did again and a result of 2.30. I will add that after fertilization 21 or 19 days passed. There were "implantation" spotting (brown in small amounts), nausea and nausea to this day, plus, my menstruation was late 2 days, which I got. What should I think of those tests that came out positive? And then the beta, a bit unclear to understand.

To @Natka:

The result most likely indicates pregnancy (3-4 weeks) and can be considered reliable if the test was performed at least 7 days after intercourse. You should do it again in a few days - if the result increases, it will confirm the pregnancy.

Natka  (Anonymous, 83.21.80.) 7 months ago

Hello, I have a question yesterday I did a beta of HCG and it came out 42IU/I, does it mean pregnancy ?

Anna Lewandowska Pharmacist, Editor

To @michalina:

A beta-hCG result of less than 0.20 mIU/ml 8 days after intercourse, combined with the occurrence of a normal, strong menstrual period and the use of double contraception (patch and implant), practically excludes pregnancy. Both contraceptive methods provide very high effectiveness, and the test result and menstruation are additional confirmation. There is no reason to worry.

michalina (Anonymous, 37.225.47.) 7 months ago

Good morning! I did bthcg from my blood 8 days after intercourse - it came out below 0.20, the next day I got a strong menstrual period. Can I rule out pregnancy? I would also like to add that during intercourse I had a patch on and I still have an implant in my hand. Please answer and thank you in advance for it:)

Patka  (Anonymous, 37.109.147.) 8 months ago

Hello. I did a beta test 12 days after the transfer and the results came out < 0.2 mlU/ml. But I'm not bothered by the spotting that started on the 8th day and I have it today. At first it was delicate, then more abundant, and again delicate.

To @Ktoś:

The HCG test result means that you are not pregnant. According to the norms, a beta-hCG level below 5 mIU/ml indicates that you are not pregnant. Please note that the HCG beta test can be considered reliable if it was performed after at least 7 days after intercourse.

Ktoś  (Anonymous, 109.243.64.) 10 months ago

Hello.
I had my last menstrual period on July 14, which lasted 6 days, my menstruation is now about 5 days late, I did a pregnancy test, the urine was negative, but today I did bthcg from the blood and the result came out as in the picture. Can I rule out pregnancies? I will add that 10 days have passed since the last intercourse

The results are already reliable and mean no pregnancy.

Anonim (Anonymous, 37.225.23.) 10 months ago

Hello. I've already done two tests for bthcg 19 days after intercourse and about 30 days after. Both came out below 0.20. Now it's been 50 days since the last intercourse, I have nausea (which can be caused by excessive stress, because that's how it usually manifests itself to me and new medications), and pregnancy tests (from urine) come out negative all the time. Should I let go of my fear of pregnancy? I'm afraid that my blood tests were somehow inaccurate. I do the tests very often and there is not even an outline of the second line. Is there any chance that I could be pregnant? Should I do a 3rd blood test or is it completely unnecessary. I'm very afraid that there may be some chance of pregnancy

Hello, I did bthcg from my blood 20 days after intercourse it came out below 0.20, I went to repeat the test a month after intercourse, the result was unchanged. Can I calmly rule out pregnancy?

To @.@.@.@.@:

Levothyroxine (Euthyrox) is typically a lifelong medication to treat hypothyroidism.

Your TSH results indicate that a dose of 50 micrograms effectively reduced TSH levels from 5,840 to 2,840, suggesting a normal response to treatment. The decision to stop or change the dose should be made by an endocrinologist based on a full clinical and laboratory assessment. Regular monitoring of TSH levels is essential to adjust treatment and ensure optimal thyroid function. Do not stop treatment without consulting your doctor.

.@.@.@.@ (Anonymous, 195.117.24.) 11 months ago

I wanted to ask if I take euthyhrox from 25 to 50 and the result before the change to 50 was 5.840 and since I take 50 I have a result of 2.840 is it possible that tsh has dropped and you don't need to take euthyhrox anymore or is it a permanent drug?

Taking into account the information provided, the situation is not unambiguous and requires consultation with a doctor. A decrease in hCG levels from 23.5 to 19.81 mIU/mL with a 7-day delay in menstruation may suggest early pregnancy, however, a decrease in hCG levels is alarming and may indicate a biochemical pregnancy (early miscarriage) or measurement error.

I encourage you to repeat the beta hCG test in 48-72 hours and consult a gynaecologist for further diagnostics.

To @Zuza:

Zuza (Anonymous, 83.5.147.) 11 months ago

Is there a beta hcg blood test 22 days after petting (there was no intercourse) <0,10 jest wiarygodne i nie muszę obawiać się ciąży? czy powinnam powtorzyć badanie w przyszłym tygodniu?

To @Hxxx:

Performing a urine pregnancy test on day 9 after embryo transfer may be too early to get a reliable result. Your hCG levels may still be too low to be detected by a home pregnancy test, especially if the test was done in the afternoon when urine is more diluted.

The beta hCG blood test you plan to do tomorrow is much more sensitive and precise. So there is a chance that despite a negative urine test, tomorrow's blood test may show a positive result. Remember that the most important thing is to stay calm and patient until you get the result of the blood test that provides the most reliable information.

Hxxx (Anonymous, 37.109.167.) 11 months ago

Hello, today is the 9th day after the transfer, tomorrow I will do beta hcg from blood. However, today something tempted me and I did a urine test - it came out negative (but I did it until the afternoon).
Is there a chance that it is too early to detect in urine and the beta may come out positive tomorrow?

Hello, 19 days after intercourse I did a BTHCG blood test, it came out <0,20, stosuję antykoncepcję i powtarzałam jeszcze testy po becie, wychodziły negatywnie. Pozdrawiam!

To @Dominika:

Yes, changes in climate, diet and water during the holidays can affect your menstrual cycle, including the intensity and length of your period.

A change in temperature and humidity can affect the endocrine system, which in turn can affect menstruation. Introducing new foods or changing eating habits can affect the menstrual cycle. A diet high in salt, fats, sugars, or a lack of adequate nutrients can affect the intensity of menstruation. Consuming other water can affect the balance of electrolytes in the body. Traveling and changing routines can be stressful, which can also affect your menstrual cycle. Stress can cause hormonal changes that affect the length and intensity of menstruation.

However, if your period is much scarcer than usual, lasting for several cycles, it is worth consulting your doctor to rule out other potential causes, such as hormonal disorders, thyroid problems or other health conditions.

Dominika (Anonymous, 178.42.185.) 11 months ago

To @Anna Lewandowska
Thank you for your reply! And can the very scanty menstruation that took place last Sunday, i.e. July 14 - it was the first day of menstruation and has lasted until today, be related to the change of climate at the Polish seaside, the change of diet and water boiled for tea/coffee during holidays at the seaside?

Anna Lewandowska Pharmacist, Editor

To @Dominika:

I replaced my contraceptive implant over a month ago, I had the last one for almost 3 years. I had sex with my ex-boyfriend two weeks after the implant change and I started to get very stressed about being pregnant. When 20 days had passed since the intercourse, I went for a bthcg test - it came out below 0.20, should I repeat the blood test, or would such an interval of time show pregnancy? On the 25th day after the intercourse, I also did a urine test and it was negative. I have great fears of unwanted pregnancy and I get very excited that I have all the pregnancy symptoms. Would the blood test show a reliable result 20 days after intercourse or does it need to be repeated?
