No, the above preparations are not intended for use on the scalp. The use of ointments and creams on the scalp carries an increased risk of folliculitis.

If in doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. It is the doctor who decides on the possible treatment of the patient, m.in. on the basis of the patient's medical history and previous response to treatment. Only the doctor can decide whether to change the pharmacotherapy. If you are unable to get to your primary care physician, the gdziepolek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor:

1 Wash & Conditioner

But if you have a problem with this, I recommend starting with the Psorisel liquid. Calmly, one wash is enough for me and the conditioner is necessary. Because it also emulsifies and washes off such spreads nicely

And do they easily wash off your head? Do you have to wash it off many times?

Squamax and dermovate or alternately with Psorisel. Zero psoriasis for years. I do the treatment as soon as something reds. I've been doing this treatment every few weeks for 20 years. This way I never have psoriasis on my head

And does anyone have psoriasis on their head? How do you treat?

For scalp psoriasis, in addition to shampoos, topical preparations containing corticosteroids or vitamin D3 analogues are effective. Prescription drugs often include:

Belosalic (betamethasone + salicylic acid), which has anti-inflammatory and exfoliating properties

Daivobet (calcipotriol + betamethasone), which combines anti-inflammatory and regulating the processes of epidermal keratosis.

If the lesions are severe, the dermatologist may also recommend the use of Clobex (clobetasol) – a powerful corticosteroid.

Over-the-counter preparations available on the market include:

Cerkogel (urea gel): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/16738/cerkogel-30-30-peeling-mocznikowy-do-skory-glowy-zel/apteki

Hasceral (urea ointment): https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/34408/hasceral-masc/apteki

SVR XERIAL DM Psoriasis Cream for Psoriasis: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/129393/svr-xerial-dm-psoriasis-krem-na-luszczyce-krem/apteki

One of the newest and effective biological drugs used in psoriasis is Cosentyx (Secukinumab). It shows good results in the treatment of scalp psoriasis, especially in moderate to severe cases, and comes in the form of injections:

Which drug, apart from shampoos, is the most effective for scalp psoriasis?

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
