These drugs can be combined with each other. However, it should be borne in mind that in patients with diabetes mellitus, citalopram may affect insulin secretion and glucose levels in the
Blood. Dosage adjustments of oral medications may be necessary
hypoglycaemic agents (e.g. Glucophage).
Therefore, if you notice too much drop in glucose levels during therapy, you should consult your doctor to adjust the dose of your diabetes medication.
