Hello, the allergist prescribed my son 9 years old to treat allergies with a drug to be administered through tube seretide 50 and I still have added that in a stronger cough flixotide and now I am dumbfounded, should I give my child both drugs together if it gets worse or then replace seretide with flixotide? In addition, we have the monkast drug. Thank you in advance for your reply.

If you are unsure about the use of this medicine, it is best to contact your doctor and make sure you understand the dosage schedule correctly.
From what you describe, the administration of Seretide through a tube is to be regular in order to reduce asthma symptoms. If your cough gets worse, you also introduce Flixotide.
Seretide is a two-component complex preparation. Flixotide contains one ingredient in common with Seretide and is intended to be used as a temporary measure to help with bouts of severe coughing. Long-term use of these drugs together may result in an overdose of fluticasone.
