Good morning. Does pregabalin have a negative effect on the stomach? I.e. can it damage the gastric mucosa? such as NSAID painkillers.

To @Magenschoner:
Pregabalin does not irritate the stomach, so there is no need to use protective drugs as standard. In the event of stomach discomfort, it is worth consulting a doctor to assess the situation and possibly adjust the therapy.
If you have a sensitive stomach or are taking other medications such as NSAIDs, you may want to consider proton pump inhibitors (e.g. omeprazole) or antacids such as Alugastrin, Manti, Gaviscon and Ranigast, e.g.:

In the case of stomach ailments, an easily digestible diet can also be helpful. If you experience severe gastrointestinal symptoms, consult your doctor.

Pregabalin does not have the same effect on the gastric mucosa as NSAIDs, but it can cause gastrointestinal disorders (common side effects: nausea, flatulence, vomiting) and stomach discomfort (an uncommon side effect - reflux).
