Leg ulcers in the course of anaemia should be consulted with a wound care specialist. Treatment is based on infection control, regular wound treatment and the use of compression dressings. An important role is played by prophylaxis, including wearing protective clothing and footwear, limiting prolonged standing and relieving the lower limbs.
