Can you take two Mesopral 20 capsules instead of 1 capsule?

I have prescribed mesopral 40 mg every morning on an empty stomach. I'm still going to use it for 2 weeks but I'm running out of pack. Is it possible to take 2 capsules of mesopral 20 mg instead of one capsule of 40 mg? Will the drug have the same effect?
