Alcohol should not be consumed during treatment with thioctic acid (the active ingredient Neurolipon) as it increases the risk and severity of neuropathic symptoms and may interfere with the effectiveness of treatment.

There are no contraindications to drinking herbal and fruit teas during treatment with Neurolipon-MIP 600.
Herbs that should be avoided are those that lower blood glucose levels, such as white mulberry, as this combination can increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
