Diabetes mellitus is not an absolute contraindication to the use of Roswera. According to the manufacturer: "Some study results suggest that statins as a class of drugs increase blood glucose levels and in some patients at high risk of developing diabetes in the future, they may cause hyperglycemia to the extent that requires appropriate diabetes care. However, this risk is less than the vascular benefits of statins, so it should not be a reason to stop statin therapy."
