It is not recommended to combine fluoxetine with paroxetine. These are drugs from the same therapeutic group – selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Taking them together increases the risk of dangerous serotonin syndrome characterized by, m.in the occurrence of increased body temperature, muscle tremors, accelerated heart rate, confusion, lack of coordination.
