Can I use Atrovent N and Miflonide Breezhaler?

Hello, I am tired of a strong cough and all the time trying to cure bronchitis. The doctor prescribed the following medications: * miflonide 400 2x2 inhalations * atrovent N 3x2 inhalations I wanted to ask if I can use these medicines one after the other, and if so, where should I start? Thank you in advance for your reply.

To @Jon lister:
Pulmicort Turbohaler 400 μg is now a commonly used replacement for older budesonide-containing formulations such as Milfonide 400. Pulmicort Turbohaler is an effective powder inhaler used to treat asthma and COPD. Dosing 400 μg twice a day is typical for many patients.

Pulmicort and Miflonide contain the same active substance budesonide. However, they cannot be considered as direct replacements for several reasons.

Miflonide 400 contains twice the dose of budesonide as Pulmicort 200, resulting in a stronger effect and a difference in dosage between the two drugs.

The forms of administration of the two drugs are also different: Miflonide is available as capsules with inhalation powder used with a Breezhaler inhaler. Pulmicort, on the other hand, is available in the form of a Turbohaler powder inhaler.

The inhalation technique varies depending on the type of inhaler, which can affect the effectiveness of the treatment.

Because of these differences, switching from one medication to another should only be done under the supervision of a physician who will adjust the dosage and instruct the patient on the correct use of the prescribed inhaler.

Yes, you can use both medicines at the same time. In the case of simultaneous use of airway dilators (e.g. Atrovent containing ipratropic bromide) and inhaled glucocorticoids (e.g. Miflonide Breezhaler), the dilator should be taken first, and after a few to several minutes a steroid drug. This will facilitate deeper reach and increase the effectiveness of the anti-inflammatory drug.
