Good morning. I have been taking Probella tablets for over two months to treat potential endometriosis. In addition, I have not had my period since then. My gynecologist assured me that although this drug is not classified as a contraceptive, there is no need to protect yourself during intercourse. Have I been misled and should I be afraid that I have been given the wrong information? Should I use other methods of contraception during intercourse in the current situation?

According to the manufacturer of the drug: Probella is not a contraceptive. During therapy, an additional form of contraception in the form of a condom should be used.
