Hello, I will not say anything about the effects of this drug, but if it comes to tics, my son is currently 14 years old and has been struggling with it since he was 5 years old. He took various medications with poor effects, starting with haloperidol, epilepsy drugs, blood pressure lowering drugs that were supposed to work on tics, unfortunately with poor results, even very much, and the child had to function at school and among children. THE ONLY DRUG THAT WORKS ON TICS IS ORAP FORTE 4 MG , available in . Germany. In Poland, no tests for tics are conducted, so the treatment is also poor and there are generally no drugs typically for tics. This drug helped us a lot, please read. Best regards
My daughter 17.5 years was supposed to take 1/4 tablet a day and every week increase the dose by 1/4 until the tics stopped. At the moment he takes 3/4 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening. I think you need to increase the dose . Yours sincerely Ania

Tiaprid belongs to a group of drugs called neuroleptics, studies show that the use of preparations from this group significantly reduces the occurrence of tics. Available studies also show that thiapride used in children showed a significant reduction in tics. Although the leaflet of Tiaprid does not contain an indication for use such as tics, the drug can be taken outside the generally accepted recommendations. It is an "off-label" treatment https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/leczenie-off-label-poza-wskazaniami.
